Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a heat press or can I use an iron?

Both work! A heat press gives the most consistent results (325°F, 15 seconds, firm pressure). A household iron on the highest setting with firm, even pressure for 30-45 seconds also works well for small projects.

What surfaces can I apply DTF transfers to?

DTF transfers work on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, canvas, denim, leather, wood, and more. If you can heat it to 285-325°F and it's not extremely textured, DTF will adhere.

Can I use my own artwork or do I need to use marketplace designs?

Both! Browse our marketplace for ready-made designs, or upload your own artwork to our gang sheet builder. You can even mix marketplace designs with your own on a single sheet.

How small or large can a transfer be?

We print from 2"x2" up to full gang sheets at 22"x96". For crafts, common sizes are 4"x4" for small items like onesies up to 12"x16" for tote bags and pillows.

Are DTF transfers permanent?

Yes. Once heat-pressed, DTF transfers are permanently bonded to the fabric. They survive 50+ washes, making them ideal for gifts and items that will be used daily.
